This massive truss bridge crosses the Boyer River, next to the Canadian National Bridge and US-30.
The bridge was built in 1948 to replace a lighter Quadrangular Through Truss Bridge, built just 46 years before. A longer span was required to mitigate flooding issues in the area.
The new span is a massive 8 panel, riveted Warren Through Truss with heavily constructed members. It rests on concrete pile piers.
In addition, it is approached by I-Beam spans. The remains of the old stone abutments can be seen below.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the newer age.
